Is it just me, or is Marvel doing it's level best to completely tank the X-Men comics franchise? They no longer really fight villains at all, and most of them actually qualify as villains themselves at this point. 1. Cyclops summons the Phoenix to fight the Avengers...which obviously ends badly since literally everything involving the Phoenix -always- ends badly. 2. Adding Mr. Sinister to Krakoa and making him one of the leaders because he's a mutant and smart (though he was never a mutant before, he was genetically modified, and still going by Sinister) 3. Adding Sebastian Shaw to the leadership (despite having never been anything but evil) 4. Having Beast go full heel-turn and becoming a full on murderous sadistic sociopath, despite being the moral backbone of the team since the 60's. 5. Retconning Brand from a loyal SHIELD agent made head of SWORD whose priority was saving Earth from aliens to being a scheming, power hungry villain who's been manipulating everyone and has

Trying to write up a story that leads in to the Meghhan vs. Manet fight commission. Looking for ideas for what to include. Her apprentice, Lunia (the purple haired Orion on the screen) has been replaced by the federation spy Meghhan.

It says a lot about how terrible I think this new layout is that I'm actually taking the effort to bitch about it. What this layout specifically say to me is 'Our web development staff created this new style full of empty wasted space at the top of each page as a way to justify the paychecks they receive. I'm not going to claim the old layout was perfect but the new layout literally gives you an entire screen just to say who the artist running the page is if you don't zoom out. My web design teacher back in college would likely have flunked this design for it's wasted space, redundancy and awkward visual flow. Just...ugh.
